Our accredited guide will meet and take you to the elephant orphanage trust. Enjoy this guided session with experienced guides and keepers from this sanctuary which takes place between 11a.m. to 12noon daily, learning the efforts made by this sanctuary in elephant conservation in Kenya. Nonetheless, get to enjoy the view of these baby elephants, & make great life-long memories as you engage in photography. During the visit you also get to witness them having their bottle of milk as they relax & play engaging in sandbathes, a cool of mud-bath in the heat of the day. You also have the opportunity to adopt & sponsor any of the orphaned baby elephants of your choice during the visit.
Leaving behind the heartwarming scenes of the Elephant Orphanage, our tour takes another enriching turn towards the vibrant world of artisan craftsmanship at the Kobe Beads Women’s Factory. Here, amidst the gentle hum of diligent work, guests are introduced to a collective of talented local women who transform colorful beads into exquisite pieces of jewelry, home décor, and art. Every bead threaded and every pattern woven tells a story of empowerment, resilience, and tradition. As we meander through the workshop, we witness the fusion of age-old Kenyan beadwork techniques with contemporary designs, creating unique, globally sought-after pieces. This visit not only offers an opportunity to purchase authentic handcrafted souvenirs but also shines a light on the powerful impact of social enterprises in uplifting communities, especially women, and preserving cultural heritage.
After a delicious African meal, we will proceed to our second and final phase of our cultural tour. Experience the rich cultural heritage of Kenya. Enjoy the rich culture from 53 ethnic communities in Kenya through traditional folklore dances. Understand the culture and traditions through an informative session as we explore & visit the different homesteads to see for yourself the actual real of our people. The center mainly preserves, maintains and promotes the rich diverse cultural values of all ethnic communities. Daily performances include a selection of 15 traditional dances of different ethnic communities & one of the most impressive performances the Samburu & Maasai warriors.
