7-Day Kenya Honeymoon Safari – Mara Naivasha & Diani Romance

7 Days 6 Nights

Overview

A Kenya honeymoon safari is the most romantic and adventurous way to begin a life together, combining the raw beauty of the African wilderness with the blissful luxury of an Indian Ocean beach retreat in a single seamless seven-day journey. This carefully curated itinerary moves from the iconic golden savannah of the Maasai Mara, where Big Five game drives, private sundowners, and star-filled skies create an atmosphere of pure African magic, through the serene freshwater shores of Lake Naivasha for intimate boat rides and walking safaris among free-roaming wildlife, to the powdery white beaches and turquoise waters of Diani Beach, Africa’s most celebrated Indian Ocean resort, where warm Indian Ocean breezes, sunset dhow cruises, and coral reef snorkelling provide the perfect romantic finale. Every element of this honeymoon safari has been selected for its romantic character: private game drives at dawn and dusk in luxury 4×4 vehicles, lodge accommodation with sweeping savannah or lake views, candlelit bush dinners under the Milky Way, and beachside evenings watching the Indian Ocean sun disappear below the horizon. The Maasai Mara provides the adventure and wildlife drama that makes Kenya’s safaris world-famous, with lion encounters, elephant sightings, and the theatrical Mara sunset all part of the daily rhythm. Lake Naivasha offers a gentler, more intimate interlude of boat rides among hippos, evening hippo-watching from lodge decks, and the extraordinary Crescent Island walking safari. Diani Beach delivers the coast at its most beautiful, with the Indian Ocean’s warm clarity, the fragrance of frangipani in the sea breeze, and the relaxed Swahili Coast atmosphere completing one of the world’s most extraordinary honeymoon experiences.

Highly recommend Kelvin of Rustic Nature Tours. We saw his great reviews on Facebook. We wanted to be in a small group and to visit the elephants orphanage and giraffe santiary in Nairobi. Kevin delivered all this and took us to a wonderful community project making beautiful beads. We highly recommend Kelvin and his professionalism.

We wanted to be in a small group and wanted to do a half day tour to experience the amazing elephant orphanage in Nairobi National Park and the giraffes sanctuary. We also didn’t want to have to go out too early having only just arrived. Kelvin of ‘Rustic Nature Tours’ delivered this all perfectly for us. A she took us to a community project supporting local women with making beautiful beads which was wonderful. He was very knowledgable and interesting and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and this company. They also do all sorts of Safaris so we will contact him again when we return. PS please note separate to any tour booking the guest must pay a park fee per person and it’s best to do this in advance via the National park website

Found Rustic tours via a recommendation on Facebook as I needed a Nairobi layover tour guide. Contacted Kelvin and we agreed quickly on what to do and see. He picked us up on airport in the morning in his crazy safari car and we saw downtown, giraffes and we did the Nairobi safari. Got to day that I laughed a lot with Kelvin as he is a great person! He did everything he could so we could see as much as possible in our short time window. See you again my friend!

Had a long layover and booked this last minute. So glad I did! Nicole kept our bags in the car and took us back to the airport after the drive. What a drive! Saw a family of rhinos and a pride of lions. Nicole also recommended a Kenyan cuisine restaurant when we asked. She was very knowledgeable, funny, and we really enjoyed our time with her and the tour. Recommend to everyone

What a fantastic day tour to Nairobi National Park, Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage, and a surprise garden lunch. Our guide, Calvin, a top notch birder and guide paced the day perfectly and provided us with an excellent experience! We have travelled to Kenya multiple times, but our private tour with Rustic Nature Tours and Calvin in particular ranks as a highlight among our experiences.

The sights were once in a lifetime - elephant orphanage and giraffe sanctuary worth a trip to Nairobi. Kelvin, our guide, was great - picked us up on time, pointed out animals on the way, was full of information. Will refer any friends visiting Nairobi his way!
