Day 01 :

Nairobi to Hell's Gate and Lake Naivasha

The journey from Nairobi crosses the Rift Valley escarpment, with a stop at the viewpoint before the descent towards Hell’s Gate National Park. The park visit explores designated main-valley routes on foot or by bicycle, according to the selected activity arrangement. The valley’s open landscape and volcanic rock formations provide the setting for ground-level wildlife observation, with park instructions governing the route and distance kept from animals. This programme stays in the main valley and does not descend into the inner gorge. The day ends in the Lake Naivasha area after the park visit.

Day 02 :

Lake Naivasha Boat Safari and Drive to Lake Nakuru

The morning begins with the included Lake Naivasha boat ride, exploring the lake’s open water and papyrus-edged shoreline with the boat crew. Hippos and waterbirds may be observed along the route while the crew maintains the required distance from wildlife. The Naivasha programme also includes a guided walk at Crescent Island Game Sanctuary, following its visitor routes through grassland and lakeside habitat. The journey then continues to Lake Nakuru National Park for an afternoon game drive through its lakeshore, grassland and woodland habitats. Your guide follows permitted routes and selects viewing stops around the animals and birds encountered. The second overnight is in the Nakuru area.

Day 03 :

Lake Nakuru Game Drive to Nairobi

An early-morning game drive provides a second opportunity to explore Lake Nakuru National Park. The drive follows permitted park routes through contrasting habitats, with time to observe wildlife behaviour and the lake landscape from authorised viewing areas. Rhino, giraffe, buffalo and waterbirds are among the park’s wildlife, although individual sightings are not guaranteed. Flamingo numbers vary with lake conditions rather than forming a fixed feature of the visit. After the morning park programme, the safari returns by road to Nairobi, where the three-day circuit ends.
