3-Day Maasai Mara Private Safari – Savannah Sunsets & Big Five

3 Days 2 Nights

Overview

A 3-day Maasai Mara private safari is the perfect introduction to Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife reserve, offering an intimate and unhurried encounter with the Big Five on the open savannah just a comfortable drive from Nairobi. The Maasai Mara National Reserve spans over 1,500 square kilometres of rolling grasslands, riverine forests, and seasonal swamps that support one of the highest concentrations of wildlife on the African continent. On this private safari, a dedicated 4×4 vehicle and expert naturalist guide are reserved exclusively for your group, meaning every game drive moves at your pace, stops where you choose, and explores corners of the reserve that shared vehicles never reach. Whether you are watching a lion pride stalk wildebeest through the golden morning grass or witnessing the fiery colours of a Mara sunset from a hilltop viewpoint with cold drinks in hand, every moment is personal and memorable. Your two nights are spent at a comfortable lodge positioned to place you deep inside the reserve, where the sounds of the African bush replace city noise and the night sky is brilliant with stars. With two expertly guided game drives covering the Mara’s prime wildlife corridors, this private 3-day safari delivers an authentic and deeply satisfying Kenya safari experience for first-time visitors and seasoned wildlife enthusiasts alike.

Highly recommend Kelvin of Rustic Nature Tours. We saw his great reviews on Facebook. We wanted to be in a small group and to visit the elephants orphanage and giraffe santiary in Nairobi. Kevin delivered all this and took us to a wonderful community project making beautiful beads. We highly recommend Kelvin and his professionalism.

We wanted to be in a small group and wanted to do a half day tour to experience the amazing elephant orphanage in Nairobi National Park and the giraffes sanctuary. We also didn’t want to have to go out too early having only just arrived. Kelvin of ‘Rustic Nature Tours’ delivered this all perfectly for us. A she took us to a community project supporting local women with making beautiful beads which was wonderful. He was very knowledgable and interesting and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and this company. They also do all sorts of Safaris so we will contact him again when we return. PS please note separate to any tour booking the guest must pay a park fee per person and it’s best to do this in advance via the National park website

Found Rustic tours via a recommendation on Facebook as I needed a Nairobi layover tour guide. Contacted Kelvin and we agreed quickly on what to do and see. He picked us up on airport in the morning in his crazy safari car and we saw downtown, giraffes and we did the Nairobi safari. Got to day that I laughed a lot with Kelvin as he is a great person! He did everything he could so we could see as much as possible in our short time window. See you again my friend!

Had a long layover and booked this last minute. So glad I did! Nicole kept our bags in the car and took us back to the airport after the drive. What a drive! Saw a family of rhinos and a pride of lions. Nicole also recommended a Kenyan cuisine restaurant when we asked. She was very knowledgeable, funny, and we really enjoyed our time with her and the tour. Recommend to everyone

What a fantastic day tour to Nairobi National Park, Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage, and a surprise garden lunch. Our guide, Calvin, a top notch birder and guide paced the day perfectly and provided us with an excellent experience! We have travelled to Kenya multiple times, but our private tour with Rustic Nature Tours and Calvin in particular ranks as a highlight among our experiences.

The sights were once in a lifetime - elephant orphanage and giraffe sanctuary worth a trip to Nairobi. Kelvin, our guide, was great - picked us up on time, pointed out animals on the way, was full of information. Will refer any friends visiting Nairobi his way!
