Overview

This private three-day Maasai Mara honeymoon road safari starts and finishes in Nairobi and includes two nights at the selected camp or lodge. Your vehicle and English-speaking safari guide are reserved for your party. The viewing programme includes an arrival-afternoon drive and a morning drive on day two, followed by breakfast and the road return on day three.

The honeymoon arrangements include a private multi-course bush dinner, champagne sundowner, welcome champagne and flower decoration. All four are included with Budget, Mid-Range and Luxury accommodation options. Choose a Land Cruiser 4×4 or Safari Minivan. The selected property, rooms, vehicle, dates and party size determine the quotation; the availability of these options does not establish one price for every configuration.

Six meals, applicable park and reserve entry fees for the scheduled programme and drinking water during game drives are included. The bush dinner forms part of the day-two meal programme. Outdoor settings depend on weather, access and property operations. A king bed, private veranda, visible stars, clear sunset or particular wildlife encounter is not guaranteed. Balloon rides, Maasai village visits and spa treatments remain optional extras.

Day 01 :

Nairobi to Maasai Mara by Road

The honeymoon safari leaves Nairobi in the morning and travels through the Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara. Arrival at the Mara base includes the welcome champagne and honeymoon flower arrangement before the first private wildlife outing.

The afternoon game drive follows authorised reserve routes, with time to watch the animals encountered and photograph the grassland scenery. The included champagne sundowner forms part of the first evening’s programme. Its outdoor setting follows permitted access and weather conditions, before the party returns to the Mara base for the first night.

Day 02 :

Private Game Drive and Bush Dinner

The full Mara day begins with a private morning game drive. Your guide leads the vehicle through the reserve, pausing at wildlife encounters and explaining the behaviour and landscape observed along the route. The party then returns to the Mara base for a period of rest; the scheduled programme leaves the afternoon free of a separate game drive.

The evening’s central experience is the included private multi-course bush dinner arranged for your party. This provides a private celebration setting after the day’s wildlife viewing. The outdoor arrangement follows the property’s operating conditions and weather, with the second night spent at the same Mara base. Spa treatments remain separately priced optional activities.

Day 03 :

Maasai Mara to Nairobi by Road

The final day begins with checkout at the Mara base and the private road journey back to Nairobi. The return travels through Narok and the Great Rift Valley, bringing the circular safari route back to its starting city.

This is the return stage of the itinerary rather than another game-drive day. The programme ends in Nairobi after the two-night stay in the Maasai Mara.

Which honeymoon arrangements are included?

These arrangements are part of the programme, rather than automatic paid upgrades. The selected accommodation and dates determine their practical delivery; outdoor settings depend on weather and permitted access.

What is the daily programme?

This three-day road safari includes two Mara nights. Day one includes lunch, an afternoon game drive, the champagne sundowner and dinner. Day two includes breakfast, a morning game drive, lunch, rest time and the private bush dinner. Day three includes breakfast, checkout and the road return to Nairobi, without a separate morning game drive. No additional day-two afternoon drive is scheduled.

Which accommodation and vehicle options are available?

Choose Budget, Mid-Range or Luxury accommodation and a private Land Cruiser 4×4 or Safari Minivan. Your vehicle and English-speaking safari guide are reserved for your party. The selected property, room arrangement, vehicle, dates and party size determine the quotation; no single price across every configuration is implied. A king bed, private veranda or veranda breakfast is not guaranteed by this itinerary.

Are reserve fees and all meals included?

All applicable park and reserve entry fees for the scheduled programme are included, along with drinking water during game drives. Six meals are included: lunch and dinner on day one; breakfast, lunch and the bush dinner on day two; and breakfast on day three. Day-three lunch is excluded.

Is every part of the honeymoon experience exclusive?

Your road vehicle, safari guide and arranged bush dinner are private to your party. The park and accommodation facilities are shared with other visitors. The programme does not promise exclusive use of a camp, a completely secluded sundowner site or unrestricted off-road access.

Can a balloon safari, village visit or spa treatment be added?

The hot-air balloon safari, Maasai village visit and spa treatments are optional and charged separately. They are not included in the current programme automatically. Any addition requires an agreed schedule and price and depends on the relevant operator or accommodation being able to provide it.

Are sunsets, stars and wildlife sightings guaranteed?

No. Weather, visibility, wildlife movements and permitted access affect the experience. The included sundowner and bush-dinner arrangements do not guarantee clear skies, a visible sunset, complete solitude or any particular animal sighting.

How long are the road journeys?

The safari travels by road between Nairobi and the Maasai Mara via the Rift Valley. Journey times depend on the selected base and entry route, roads, traffic and stops. A fixed five-hour transfer or guaranteed Nairobi arrival time is not included. Any onward airport connection requires an agreed timing buffer.
