6-Day Mara Nakuru & Naivasha – Balloon Ride & Flamingo Safari

Your balloon safari adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, heading southwest on the scenic seven-hour drive through the Maasai-inhabited Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Long before sunrise your guide drives you to the balloon launch site for the centrepiece experience of this safari. As the balloon envelope rises in the darkness and the burners cast a warm amber glow across the ground crew, your pilot conducts a thorough safety briefing before you step into the basket. You lift off into the cool morning sky just as the first light of dawn breaks over the Mara horizon, revealing the landscape in extraordinary detail from above. Wildebeest herds, zebra crossings, and the silver thread of the Mara River unfold beneath the balloon basket during your one-hour flight. White rhino graze on the open grasslands, buffalo and waterbuck move through the acacia woodland, and leopard are frequently spotted in the fever tree forest. A full day in Lake Nakuru National Park offers morning and afternoon game drives exploring the park’s diverse habitats.
