6-Day Mara Naivasha & Amboseli Signature Kenya Safari

6 Days 5 Nights

Overview

A signature Kenya safari connecting the Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha, and Amboseli National Park is a carefully crafted journey through three of East Africa’s most iconic and contrasting wildlife destinations. This six-day itinerary begins with two nights in the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve, where Big Five sightings are virtually guaranteed among the vast golden grasslands and along the hippo-filled Mara River. From there the route winds through the scenic highland farms and Rift Valley escarpment country to the serene shores of Lake Naivasha, where hippos, herons, and hundreds of bird species share a tranquil freshwater ecosystem with walking giraffe and zebra on Crescent Island. The safari concludes in Amboseli National Park, where the snow-capped summit of Mount Kilimanjaro provides a breathtaking backdrop to elephant herds wading through emerald marshlands. This signature Kenya safari is designed to showcase the extraordinary range of ecosystems, landscapes, and wildlife communities that make Kenya the world’s premier safari destination in a single seamless road journey. Each park on this itinerary offers a completely different character: the Mara’s open grassland drama of predator and prey, the calm lakeside beauty of Naivasha with its prolific birdlife and walking safari opportunities, and Amboseli’s iconic elephant photography with Africa’s tallest mountain as backdrop. Expert safari guides with deep local knowledge lead every game drive, ensuring you access the hidden corners and prime wildlife corridors that transform a good safari into an unforgettable one. Comfortable lodge and tented camp accommodation, gourmet bush meals, and a seamless road journey through Kenya’s most celebrated landscapes combine to make this six-day programme a truly memorable East African adventure that captures the very essence of a classic Kenya safari.

Highly recommend Kelvin of Rustic Nature Tours. We saw his great reviews on Facebook. We wanted to be in a small group and to visit the elephants orphanage and giraffe santiary in Nairobi. Kevin delivered all this and took us to a wonderful community project making beautiful beads. We highly recommend Kelvin and his professionalism.

We wanted to be in a small group and wanted to do a half day tour to experience the amazing elephant orphanage in Nairobi National Park and the giraffes sanctuary. We also didn’t want to have to go out too early having only just arrived. Kelvin of ‘Rustic Nature Tours’ delivered this all perfectly for us. A she took us to a community project supporting local women with making beautiful beads which was wonderful. He was very knowledgable and interesting and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and this company. They also do all sorts of Safaris so we will contact him again when we return. PS please note separate to any tour booking the guest must pay a park fee per person and it’s best to do this in advance via the National park website

Found Rustic tours via a recommendation on Facebook as I needed a Nairobi layover tour guide. Contacted Kelvin and we agreed quickly on what to do and see. He picked us up on airport in the morning in his crazy safari car and we saw downtown, giraffes and we did the Nairobi safari. Got to day that I laughed a lot with Kelvin as he is a great person! He did everything he could so we could see as much as possible in our short time window. See you again my friend!

Had a long layover and booked this last minute. So glad I did! Nicole kept our bags in the car and took us back to the airport after the drive. What a drive! Saw a family of rhinos and a pride of lions. Nicole also recommended a Kenyan cuisine restaurant when we asked. She was very knowledgeable, funny, and we really enjoyed our time with her and the tour. Recommend to everyone

What a fantastic day tour to Nairobi National Park, Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage, and a surprise garden lunch. Our guide, Calvin, a top notch birder and guide paced the day perfectly and provided us with an excellent experience! We have travelled to Kenya multiple times, but our private tour with Rustic Nature Tours and Calvin in particular ranks as a highlight among our experiences.

The sights were once in a lifetime - elephant orphanage and giraffe sanctuary worth a trip to Nairobi. Kelvin, our guide, was great - picked us up on time, pointed out animals on the way, was full of information. Will refer any friends visiting Nairobi his way!
