Visitors use the designated viewing area and follow keeper instructions. The chimpanzee visit is the standard sanctuary visit; a behind-the-scenes experience is a separate activity.

How does the guided walk operate?

The included Ol Pejeta bush or bird walk uses the conservancy’s authorised guiding arrangements and permitted route. Private-party arrangements, guide allocation and participant eligibility must be confirmed before booking confirmation. The selected walk’s briefing determines the route, pace and participation requirements.

Does this programme include a night drive or specialist tracking?

No. This programme does not include a night drive or specialist black-rhino tracking. Rhino observation during ordinary game drives is distinct from a separately booked monitoring activity.

Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

The safari travels from Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The arrival-day game drive introduces the grassland and wooded habitats, looking for wildlife along permitted conservancy routes.

The programme remains based at Ol Pejeta for four nights. This provides time for its wildlife-viewing sessions, guided walk and included conservation visits within one defined operating area.

Full Day Ol Pejeta Conservation and Game Drives

Morning and afternoon game drives explore Ol Pejeta’s wildlife habitats, looking for rhinos, elephants, other mammals and birds. Your guide follows suitable routes and provides time to observe the animals encountered.

The included standard Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary visit introduces the rescued chimpanzees and the sanctuary’s conservation work through its visitor programme. It is distinct from a separately booked behind-the-scenes experience.

Ol Pejeta Guided Walk and Game Viewing

Vehicle-based game viewing complements the walk, exploring the conservancy’s wider grassland and wooded habitats. The programme concludes at the Ol Pejeta base before the following day’s conservation visit and further wildlife viewing.
