Day 01 :

Nairobi to Amboseli by Air

The safari begins in Nairobi with the transfer to Wilson Airport and the flight to Amboseli. On arrival, your guide meets you at the airstrip for the journey into the Amboseli stage of the safari. An afternoon photography drive is planned when the flight arrival and park-access schedule allow. This first session introduces Amboseli’s wildlife and landscapes, with viewing stops arranged around the light and animal activity. Kilimanjaro forms part of the park’s photographic setting when visible; cloud cover and wildlife movements determine the subjects and compositions available on the day.

Day 02 :

Full Day Amboseli Photography Drives

The full Amboseli day centres on morning and afternoon photography drives. Your private guide selects permitted routes and viewing stops in response to animal movements and the changing light, allowing time to observe behaviour and compose photographs from the vehicle. The day explores Amboseli’s wildlife and landscapes without a fixed list of sightings or a promised mountain backdrop. The two sessions give the Amboseli stage its main photography day before the journey continues to the Maasai Mara.

Day 03 :

Amboseli to Maasai Mara by Air

The journey moves from Amboseli to the Maasai Mara by air. Your guide transfers your party to the Amboseli airstrip for the included flight journey, and the Mara guide meets the arriving flight. The booked air service determines any connection; the programme does not assume a nonstop flight between the two destinations. The change of location introduces the Mara stage of the photography safari. A morning Amboseli session or an arrival drive in the Mara takes place only when the flight and permitted park-access programme allows.

Full Day Mara Photography Drives

The full Maasai Mara day is devoted to private game viewing and wildlife photography. Your photography-experienced guide selects permitted routes and viewing stops around animal movements, the light and the conditions encountered in the reserve. Time at sightings allows observation of behaviour and photography from the private vehicle, rather than following a guaranteed sequence of species or events. The Mara’s wildlife and landscapes provide the focus of this second main photography day. Hunts and migration river crossings are natural events that cannot be scheduled or guaranteed.

Maasai Mara to Nairobi by Air

The final day completes the Maasai Mara stage and returns to Nairobi by air. A final photography drive takes place only when the booked flight and park-access programme allow; the return day does not include a guaranteed additional photography session. The Nairobi airport transfer completes the five-day journey, linking the Amboseli and Mara photography experiences with their respective full park days.
