5-Day Chyulu Hills Tsavo East & Diani Wilderness Beach Safari

5 Days 4 Nights

Overview

A Chyulu Hills Tsavo East Diani safari is one of Kenya’s most diverse and rewarding journeys, weaving together three completely different worlds in a single seamless adventure. Beginning in the mystical Chyulu Hills, a range of young volcanic mountains draped in ancient cloud forest and rolling green slopes, this safari moves through the vast rust-red wilderness of Tsavo East National Park before concluding with days of pure relaxation on the white coral sands of Diani Beach. The Chyulu Hills are one of Kenya’s most underrated destinations, a hauntingly beautiful landscape of lava caves, highland forest, and sweeping savannah where elephants, buffaloes, and lions roam across dramatic ridgelines with Kilimanjaro visible on clear mornings. Tsavo East, Kenya’s largest national park, is famous for its legendary red elephants, coated in the park’s distinctive volcanic soil, as well as enormous lion prides, Grevy’s zebra, and the spectacular Yatta Plateau, the world’s longest lava flow. After the excitement of game drives, the turquoise waters and coral reefs of Diani Beach provide the perfect finale to a spectacular journey. This Chyulu Hills Tsavo East Diani safari captures the full spectrum of Kenyan adventure in just five days, combining wilderness exploration, raw African bush, and Indian Ocean paradise. Each destination transitions naturally into the next as you travel south along Kenya’s dramatic landscape, making this an exceptionally varied road safari that showcases the country’s remarkable ecological diversity. Expert guides at every stage share deep knowledge of the local wildlife, ecosystems, and communities, while comfortable lodge accommodation ensures that each night ends in relaxation and comfort.

Highly recommend Kelvin of Rustic Nature Tours. We saw his great reviews on Facebook. We wanted to be in a small group and to visit the elephants orphanage and giraffe santiary in Nairobi. Kevin delivered all this and took us to a wonderful community project making beautiful beads. We highly recommend Kelvin and his professionalism.

We wanted to be in a small group and wanted to do a half day tour to experience the amazing elephant orphanage in Nairobi National Park and the giraffes sanctuary. We also didn’t want to have to go out too early having only just arrived. Kelvin of ‘Rustic Nature Tours’ delivered this all perfectly for us. A she took us to a community project supporting local women with making beautiful beads which was wonderful. He was very knowledgable and interesting and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and this company. They also do all sorts of Safaris so we will contact him again when we return. PS please note separate to any tour booking the guest must pay a park fee per person and it’s best to do this in advance via the National park website

Found Rustic tours via a recommendation on Facebook as I needed a Nairobi layover tour guide. Contacted Kelvin and we agreed quickly on what to do and see. He picked us up on airport in the morning in his crazy safari car and we saw downtown, giraffes and we did the Nairobi safari. Got to day that I laughed a lot with Kelvin as he is a great person! He did everything he could so we could see as much as possible in our short time window. See you again my friend!

Had a long layover and booked this last minute. So glad I did! Nicole kept our bags in the car and took us back to the airport after the drive. What a drive! Saw a family of rhinos and a pride of lions. Nicole also recommended a Kenyan cuisine restaurant when we asked. She was very knowledgeable, funny, and we really enjoyed our time with her and the tour. Recommend to everyone

What a fantastic day tour to Nairobi National Park, Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage, and a surprise garden lunch. Our guide, Calvin, a top notch birder and guide paced the day perfectly and provided us with an excellent experience! We have travelled to Kenya multiple times, but our private tour with Rustic Nature Tours and Calvin in particular ranks as a highlight among our experiences.

The sights were once in a lifetime - elephant orphanage and giraffe sanctuary worth a trip to Nairobi. Kelvin, our guide, was great - picked us up on time, pointed out animals on the way, was full of information. Will refer any friends visiting Nairobi his way!
