Overview

This private Hell’s Gate day tour includes park admission, private park guiding and bicycle hire, with wildlife viewing, walking on authorised open routes, afternoon cycling and the Fischer’s Tower viewing stop. Lunch is paid separately. Particular wildlife sightings and gorge access are not guaranteed. There is no Olkaria or power-station visit in this programme.

Your private vehicle can be a Land Cruiser 4×4 or safari minivan. Check the selected package for its vehicle and price basis; different options may have different prices.

This is a day tour with no overnight stay included. Budget, Mid-Range and Luxury accommodation options are available for a separately arranged stay.

This is a one-day tour with no overnight stay. Planned Nairobi pickup is 07:00; the return journey starts around 17:00, with Nairobi arrival around 19:00–20:00. These timings include the road return and depend on traffic, activity duration, stops and the agreed drop-off location. Arrival may fall outside this window. Allow an agreed additional buffer for any onward flight or timed connection.

Travel to Hell's Gate

Your private guide collects your party from the agreed Nairobi hotel or Airbnb and heads through the Rift Valley towards Hell’s Gate National Park. The programme explores the park’s wildlife landscape and rock formations through guided walking, cycling and the Fischer’s Tower stop.

10AM :

Arrival and Wildlife Spotting

The morning park visit explores the grassland and volcanic landscape along authorised roads and open walking routes. Your guide looks for wildlife and introduces the park’s cliffs and rock formations, with time to observe animals from a respectful distance.

The walk follows the sections open for the day’s access and weather conditions. Closed gorge or cave routes are not entered. The programme continues with a pause before the afternoon cycling stage.

1PM :

Lunch Amidst Nature

The programme pauses in an authorised picnic or visitor area within the park. This provides time to rest between the morning exploration and the afternoon cycling activity, with the surrounding landscape forming part of the day’s park experience.

2PM :

Cycling Adventure:

The cycling stage follows authorised park routes through the open ground, cliffs and volcanic landscape. Your guide leads the route and pace around participants’ ability, with opportunities to observe the scenery and wildlife along the way.

Cycling and any accompanying walking remain on open permitted routes. Animals are observed without approaching or pursuing them, and closed gorge or cave sections are not entered.

4.30PM :

Afternoon at Fischer's Tower

The final park stop visits Fischer’s Tower, the prominent volcanic rock formation, for views of the tower and surrounding landscape. The visit is a viewing stop, with time to appreciate the shape of the formation and its place in the park scenery.

After Fischer’s Tower, the programme leaves the park and returns towards Nairobi.

From 17:00; arrival 19:00–20:00 (planned) :

Return to Nairobi

Your guide returns your party from Hell’s Gate National Park to the agreed Nairobi hotel or Airbnb. The return completes the walking, cycling and Fischer’s Tower programme.
